Pick a quiz from your library or the resources page to start assigning a quiz:

In the process of assigning a quiz to your class, you can customise various activity settings to help make the learning experience one that best suits your students' needs!

  • Quiz title: Edit the name students will see for this assignment.

  • Comment/instructions: Add optional notes (e.g., reminders or tips) shown to students.

  • Visible to students (time window): Set when the quiz opens and for how long; you can change it later in your planner.

  • Allow sounds: Toggle background sounds on student devices during the quiz.

  • Show timer: Display the quiz player’s timer while students answer.

  • AI-generated feedback: After completing the quiz, students receive auto-written feedback based on their results.

  • Add a game: Attach a solo or team game to run alongside the quiz.

  • Class selection: Choose which class(es) to assign to (e.g., Star Class, Microsoft/Google/Quizalize Class); use More to see all.

  • Smart questions: After each wrong answer, students get an immediate second try with a helpful hint (Smart Quizzes only).

Smart review: Students first complete the quiz without help, then work back through only the missed questions with optional guidance (Smart Quizzes only).

Classic Mastery Mode: The quiz keeps cycling missed questions back to students and ends only when every question is answered correctly.

Exam Mode: Students must confirm each answer and may skip questions; skipped items return after the first pass, and optional Randomise Question Order shuffles questions per student to deter cheating.

Standard Mode: The familiar, flexible setup with all the usual options you’re used to using.

    More options

  • Randomize question order: Shuffle questions so each student gets a different sequence.

  • Number of attempts: Set how many tries students are allowed (e.g., Unlimited, 1, 2…).

  • Number of questions: Use all questions or select a specific count to pick from the quiz.

  • Allow students to see their results: Show scores after they complete the quiz.

  • Show correct answer: Reveal the correct answer (and any explanation) after each question.

  • Students can answer after timer runs out: If on, students may still answer; if off, unanswered items auto-mark incorrect when the time expires.

  • Assign an activity with follow-up resources

  • Configure Follow-Up Resources: select activities for different performance levels (e.g., enrichment for high scorers, practice/review for those who need help).

  • Assign an activity with a game
